Austin's Automotive Specialists

Beware- they did diagnostic tests in preparation for me to sell a car to a friend. They said the AC (which had been blowing cold for years after having been repaired) had been fixed improperly. They broke it doing their tests. They told me rudely— “hindsight is 20/20.” When I said I expected to receive my car in the same condition I dropped it off they didn’t offer to fix it. They were not solution oriented and I no longer trust them to touch my car. Now I have a broken AC. Go to a more ethical, reputable shop.

I've gone to Austin Automotive twice when my regular mechanic couldn't address a specific issue. I have a 15 year old car that I am keeping as long as possible. In both cases, the team was really transparent about any limitations they might have - i.e. setting proper expectations. In both cases they knocked it out of the park. Pricing is super fair and reasonable. The second issue was solved so fast that they did not charge me (WHAT????!!!) I asked twice to pay something, anything and the answer was NOPE. The only thing I could think of to Thank You them properly was to write this review.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the whole team at Austin Automotive Specialists. I am new to the area and finding a good/reliable mechanic can be hard sometimes. I could not be more pleased with the quality of work and professionalism at this spot. The sign drew me in but the A+ customer service will keep me coming back. Special thanks to Marie and Brandon.

I took my daughter's car to midas for a simple oil change. They had me come to the back and look under her car and tried explaining all the things wrong with the vehicle. We just purchased the vehicle 6 months before and had it looked over throughly and no problems. They tried telling me it had $2500 worth of axle and sway bar repair. I wanted a second opinion so I took it to Austin's Automotive Specialists. Making the appointment for the next day was simple and straight forward. We dropped her car off and by 11 the next day it had been looked at and ready to be picked up. Andy stated that the car was fine and he only saw minor repair to the actual piece they showed me. He was honest and saved me some stress. I will take my cars back there for any future work!! Great people to do business with.
